Do you fancy being involved in building and then racing an F24 race car at Goodwood or Dunsfold?  Would you like to know more about engineering?  Suitable for independent learners aged 14-16 years, the evening engineering sessions are run on a Monday or a Wednesday during term, 7-9pm, at our workshop in Albury.  Led by our fantastic team of volunteers, you will learn basic engineering principles focusing on the design, build and racing of Greenpower electric F24 race cars.

The sessions are linked to the Greenpower Education Trust who supply the Kit Cars. The cars are built in the GASP workshop by the students, and then raced by them at Goodwood and/or Dunsfold.  The Greenpower challenge uses the excitement of motorsport to inspire young people to excel in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).

Sessions run from 7pm-9pm and there is a nominal charge of £5 per session.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO HIGH DEMAND, THE WAITING LIST FOR THE EVENING SESSIONS IS CURRENTLY CLOSED.  If you would like to register your interest for future sessions, please complete the form here: Registration of Interest

Or if you are interested in volunteering, please e-mail [email protected] or call 07849 254082.  We would love to hear from you

Testimonials:

Marley has really enjoyed GASP, I think it gave her the confidence to go into mechanics and feel accepted as a female in what must feel a very male environment from the outside. She will be going to Farnborough to do Auto-mechanics but thanks to what she has learned at GASP and her predicted grades they have accepted her straight into level 2. Her hope is to get on to the TESLA future talent programme after this.
Thank you again, this has been more beneficial to Marley than you’ll know and we are grateful she had the opportunity to come!

These sessions have been invaluable and I cannot thank GASP enough.  It is largely as a result of attending the evening sessions that Oli has chosen to pursue a career in motorsport engineering and will be starting a foundation degree in the subject later this year.  The experience and opportunities provided, particularly with the Greenpower events have also been a great addition to his CV and UCAS application.
