Our Impact
Outcomes are individual to each young person who attends GASP. Every number here represents a real life changed.
Outcomes That Matter
Outcomes are individual to each young person who attends GASP. For some, this is the only formal education they receive, due to anxiety and mental health challenges: attendance itself is a huge achievement.
Additional outcomes include prevention from exclusion, improved communication skills, a new approach to learning and a positive engagement with Maths and English.
Over the years the increase in demand for GASP courses has been unprecedented. In 2025–26 so far we have delivered 1,568 teaching sessions and issued 2,113 AQA unit awards — a 50% increase on the year before. Since 2014, well over 2,000 children and young people have benefitted from a GASP course.
In September 2026, GASP became an Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) Approved Centre, giving students the opportunity to work towards an industry-recognised IMI Professional Achievement Certificate at three levels — a significant step up in how our students’ skills are externally validated and recognised by employers.
GASP is delighted to support young people to move into STEM vocations and to pursue motor mechanics as a career option.

What Schools Said
GASP gives the students a realisation that they are able to achieve. Often, this is the first time students have had this experience.
The GASP course gives students a real focus and something to learn that can lead to a future career. All of the students are very motivated and get excited with each new project.
We would definitely choose GASP again — it has been a very positive experience for the students who have attended, and they have benefited from some excellent teaching.
The [GASP] staff are brilliant and so knowledgeable and really empower and enable our learners.
